As we all know as graduates of the Television Production program at Ferris State University, sometimes in our industry, who you know is just as important as what you know. It is important for us to continue to grow within the industry and remain in contact with fellow graduates. Remaining in contact does not necessarily entail helping to get a job, it can also mean helping to learn the area. Either way, having a database of all of our fellow graduates is a good idea for future planning.
Along with just having simple contact information, young students can e-mail those with greater experience to get some practical advice for moving on. Graduates can offer sound advice and become mentors to younger students looking to get their feet wet within the Production industry. With the support of Fred Wyman and his fellow professors within the TDMP program at Ferris State, we can all make sure to get the Ferris State name out there along with the product it is producing.
Bulldogs within the Television Production program take pride in what they do, and where they are from. Everyone needs a sound strategy to get where they’re going. Together, we can help each other. Sometimes, a little help, is all you need. Go Bulldogs!
"Nobody can really guarantee the future. The best we can do is to size up the chances, calculate the risks involved, estimate our ability to deal with them and make our plans with confidence." ~HENRY FORD II
